Women are Heroes – 2010

The French JR, made portraits of women from Sierra Leone, Cambodia, Brazil, Kenya and India. The portraits were put on the walls and stairs of favelas in Rio The  Janeiro. The shots were also reproduced on roofs and trains in Kenya.

Another rainbow staircase in Wuppertal, Germany, made by the German artist Horst Glasker. On the staircase you can read stenciled words describing feelings and relationships.  The public artwork is called Scala (“staircase” in Italian).
